Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 to Batista70 FOXHOUND Android 4.0 ICS


We have put together a detailed step-by-step instructions guide on how to install Batista70 FOXHOUND Android 4.0 ICS ROM on Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100. Please read every line carefully.
To Remember:
  • This tutorial is only for installing Batista70 FOXHOUND Android 4.0 on Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100. Please do not try on any other Galaxy S2 variants.
  • Your phone SHOULD be on the official Android 4.0.3 build XWLP3 and rooted.
  • This tutorial will wipe out all your data. Proceed at your own risk.
  • Perform a Dalvik Cache wipe before proceeding from the recovery mode.
  • Samsung KIES will NOT detect your phone after installing Batista70 FOXHOUND Android 4.0 because it is a custom ROM.
  • ClockworkMod recovery should be installed from before.
  • Make sure you backup all your data in your phone before proceeding.
Pre-Requisite: Galaxy s2 on Android 4.0.3 XWLP3
Complete Step-By-Step Instructions:
Step 1 - Download Batista70 FOXHOUND Android 4.0 for Galaxy S2 to your computer.
Step 2 - Connect and mount your Galaxy S2 USB memory on your computer using the USB cable.
Step 3 - Now copy/paste the downloaded Batista70 FOXHOUND zip file to your SD card. Make sure the file is in the SD card root (not in any folder).
Step 4 - Then turn off your phone and disconnect from the USB cable.
Step 5 - Now to get in the recovery mode. Switch on the phone while pressing and holding the Menu + Power buttons.
Step 6 - Assuming you have ClockworkMod recovery, perform a full data wipe first. Then scroll down to “flash zip from SD card” and press the power button to select it.
Step 7 - Press the power button again and select “choose zip from sdcard”.
Step 8 -Now using your volume keys, navigate to the Batista70 FOXHOUND Android 4.0 zip file that you copied to your SD card and select it using the power button. Confirm the installation on the next screen and the installation procedure should start now.
Step 9 - After the installation completes, go to “+++++Go Back” and reboot the phone by selecting “reboot system now” from the recovery menu. The phone will boot now and it might take about 5 minutes to boot on your first time. So, please wait.
That’s it! Your Galaxy S2 should now have Batista70 FOXHOUND Android 4.0 installed on your phone! Go to Settings >About phone to verify.

Update Galaxy S2 I9100 with 4.0.3 XWLP3 ICS Software Update



Android 4.0.3 build XWLP3 has got leaked for the Samsung Galaxy S2 and is now available for download. It is a leaked update from Samsung KIES where it was released for some selected countries around the world. We always have a tutorial if you can’t wait to get it as an official update and prefer installing updates manually.
Remember, installing Android 4.0.3 build XWLP3 means that you will be losing root access and will have to wait till a proper method is available.

How to Update Galaxy S2 I9100 with Android 4.0.3 XWLP3 ICS


We have put together a detailed step-by-step instructions guide on how to update Samsung Galaxy S II with Android 4.0.3 XWLP3 ICS. Please read every line carefully.
To Remember:
  • This tutorial is only for Samsung Galaxy S II. Please don’t try this on any other variants of the phone.
  • Your phone should have atleast 60-70% battery when you try out this tutorial.
  • Make sure you backup all your data in your phone before proceeding.
Complete Step-By-Step Instructions:
Step 1 - Download Android 4.0.3 XWLP3 files to your computer and extract the zip file.
Step 2 - Download ODIN v1.85 (if needed) which will help you to install Android 4.0.3 on Samsung Galaxy S II.
Step 3 - Switch off your phone. Now go to Download Mode on your phone. How? Press and hold the Volume Down + Home buttons together, and then press the Power button till you see the construction Android robot and a triangle. This is the Download Mode.
Step 4 - Make sure you have your SGS II USB drivers installed on your computer. And also make sure your phone is set to connect on Samsung KIES mode through USB. How? Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > USB settings and check “Samsung KIES” option.
Step 5 - Open ODIN on your computer. Connect your phone to your computer while your phone is in the Download Mode.
Step 6 - If your phone is connected successfully, one of the ID:COM boxes will turn yellow with the COM port number. This step might take some time.
Step 7 - Click on ‘PDA’ and select “I9100XWLP3_I9100O2ULP4_I9100XXLPR_HOME.tar.md5”.
Step 8 - In ODIN, check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options.
Step 9 - Now click on the Start button in ODIN. Installation process will start and would take a few minutes to complete.
Step 10 - After the installation is completed, your phone will restart. After you see the home screen, unplug your phone from the computer.
That’s it. Your Samsung Galaxy S II has now been updated to Android 4.0.3 XWLP3 software update.
